Gwen Stefani is currently having the time of her life. Aside from the looming release of her latest album, the "Hollaback Girl" hitmaker recently spills information on how Blake Shelton's love "saved" her from the aftermath of her shattering divorce.

It has been more than a year since Stefani's world has been turned upside down, after she found out that her enraged spouse, Gavin Rossdale, was allegedly having an affair with their nanny, thus, negatively affecting their 13-year marriage that prompted separation.

As of present, the 46-year-old singer-songwriter appears to be truly contented and satisfied having Shelton in her life. In fact, she even described her beau's love as an "unexpected gift" and revealed how it helped her in mending her broken heart.

In an interview with Refinery29, Stefani further expressed that she completely felt hopeless after all the heartbreaking things she went through and conceded that she do not have the foggiest idea about what's going to happen next. Regardless of that, it seems that the singer did not resist the idea of falling in love once again.

"It was a really super-unexpected gift to find a friend, somebody who happened to be going through the exact same thing as me, literally mirroring my experience," she said.

Thus, it seems that fate and destiny do really exist considering that after four years of marriage, Shelton and his ex-wife Miranda Lambert had thrown in the towel just a month earlier when Stefani called off her marriage to Rossdale.

"I do not think it's an accident that that happened. It saved me," she added.

The celebrity lovebirds, Shelton and Stefani, had apparently found their much-needed solace in each others arm. In its report, Hollywood Life noted that Stefani just admitted that Shelton is her major source of inspiration in making the new album dubbed "This Is What The Truth Feels Like."

"I did not have any kind of musical direction for this album," Stefani gushed. "Every song was written around emotions. Of course [our relationship] was an influence... Every song was written purely out of whatever my heart was going through at that moment."
