‘Uncharted 4’ update: Discs burning soon, PS4 rolls out mini-documentary about the game

Unchartered 4 has gone gold, while the game also gets a new mini-documentary

"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" has gone gold, meaning that discs are burning soon for mass production. This may, without further delay, gamers will be able to get their hands on what developers have dubbed, "the most visually stunning game ever created," while PlayStation also releases a mini-documentary about the game this week. 

Naughty Dog has been tormenting PS4 players and game enthusiasts since they first announced "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" in 2015. The game is finally through the developmental stages and is on its way to a digital manufacturer to get burn down to discs for mass production, GameSpot reported.

The latest news just came in from the makers of the famous "Unchartered" tetralogy franchise on Twitter. The official tweet read: "Very glad to say #Unchartered4 has gone gold today! Congrats to the team!!!"

"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" has had a long journey, which was previously planned to be rolled out in 2015, but the release date of the game was delayed to March 2016 which was further jumped to April 2016. The April also could not finalize, nominated May 2016 to be the final release date of the game and now the Play Station 4 exclusive game has gone gold at last.

This confirms that the wait is almost over for PS4 gamers. The news was later also confirmed by Naughty Dog's director Neil Druckmann, who tweeted that it is the end of the journey for "Unchartered 4," adding a picture of the disc labeled U4 and hashtags #gold #unchartered4 to the message.

Bruce Straley, who is also game's director, also tweeted about the game that "Unchartered 4" is "most visually stunning game ever created" and the best "Unchartered" in the series yet. The latest game is also the final part of the long running franchise in which Nathan Drake is playing the leading role, but the chances are that another game developer might create the next sequel.

The latest, PlayStation's YouTube channel featured a mini-documentary about the "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End." The seven-minute video includes behind-the-scenes footage. The following video tells the story of the fortune hunter, compelled to return to his former profession, a thief.
