This year will surely be filled with murder and mystery to some, as "Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibōgamine Gakuen" anime series will finally arrive on the small screen with Japanese director Seiji Kishiat Lerche at the helm.
In December 2015, Spike Chunsoft announced that the "Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibōgamine Gakuen" was being developed as an anime TV series amid the "Danganronpa" press conference. Now, the Japanese video game company recently shares the development of the series and reveals the character designs.
In this week's issue of Kadokawa's Famitsu Magazine, it has learned that the upcoming anime series is set to introduce 12 new characters. Each new respective character reportedly has a strong connection with the game franchise's main character named Aoi Asahina, Kyoko Kirigiri and Makoto Naegi.
The issue's four-page feature on "Danganronpa" also showed the remaining members of The Future Foundation such as Kyoko Kirigiri, Byakuya Togami, Aoi Asahina, Makoto Nagie, and Yasuhiro Hagakure. But what's more exciting is that the Japanese magazine moreover teased the return of Monomi also known as Usami.
While it is obscure on how the "Magical Girl Miracle Usami" managed to return, its solid fans worldwide apparently anticipated the magical pink bunny's comeback. As recalled, Monomi was executed alongside Chiaki Nanami towards the end of "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" chapter 5.
The upcoming television anime series reportedly serves as a conclusion to the storyline of Hope's Peak Academy, an elite school that played host to the evil Monokuma's "killing school life." Along with the introduction of several new characters, the story reportedly takes place after the events of the second game and will apparently concentrate more on the characters from the primary game.
"Danganronpa" series creator Kazutaka Kodaka already made it clear that the upcoming series is not an anime adaptation, but rather a totally unique story supervised him. He included that the series will highlight content that can only be expressed within the anime medium, adding that it incorporate some surprising developments and many new characters.
The entire character of "Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibōgamine Gakuen" will reportedly arrive at any moment soon. Meanwhile, to quench everyone's thirst, creator Kodaka took to Twitter on March 17 to announce that a new trailer will be shown at "Anime Japan 2016" this coming March 26, Saturday.
