Famous country singer Craig Strickland's death has been ruled accidental by the office of the Oklahoma Medical Examiner. Hypothermia was the cause of death for the late singer.

After Craig was reported missing on Dec. 27, he and his friend, Chase Morland, were found dead on Jan. 4, ET reported. The rescuers had a hard time locating his body due to his camouflage hunting gear that he wore during the hunting trip.

On Jan. 12 in Arkansas, the country singer was buried underneath a cedar tree, according to Taste of Country. Helen, his wife, took an Instagram photo and wrote that they found Craig under a cedar tree and it was fitting that they should bury him underneath one.

His wife always communicated with his fans on social media during the search for her husband, asking for prayers and updating them. The note that she put inside the jacket pocket of her husband before they buried him was shared after the memorial.

Helen wrote that they held the singer's memorial last night and they already saw how God's love has changed them. She added that she loved getting different stories from people all over the world and thanked them for their support.

Less than a week ago, the late country singer's widow took an Instagram photo of his burial site after she completed the arrangements on his headstone. The photo caption reads that she is thankful for everything and the family is happy with how his headstone turned out.
