Game publisher, Koei Tecmo, had previously promised to introduce online multiplayer mode for "Attack on Titan," and it has kept the promise.
Koei Tecmo announced that they would be having a patch for "Attack on Titan" on March 24 to include more than ten elements to the game, according to Siliconera. The patch is finally here and besides gamers battling against powerful Titans with other players online, the new update brings many new features and in-game gameplay inclusions aimed at improving the experience.
The new patch for "Attack on Titans" adds the online multiplayer game mode, according to 4Gamer. Among the many new features and gameplay elements is the "Investigation outside the Wall" mode. It is a free-roaming mode whereby gamers team up with up to four other players and carry out a collaborative online game to hunt and take down Titans in the process.
Using the new mode requires all players to run the game from the same console. In fact, gamers can now decorate special Titan models at the Camp of the game. Furthermore, the models are important to show off in the Online Camp since a trophy reveals that the player had already killed this many and level of Titans so far.
On the other hand, the update increased the Soldier Proficiency cap. The patch as well gave each of the 10 playable characters more identities in battle as each of them received one original skill, which is totally personalized. There was an increase in the cap for the Equipment Reinforcement.
Besides the current "Easy" and "Normal" modes, the patch included a new "Hard" level for the gameplay. Gamers can now get more rewards in completing the tough quests in the "Shin Shingeki Mode."
With regard to the multiplayer gameplay, the update added information markers to the four characters that travel and fight. "Attack on Titan" is now available in Japan for PS3, PS4, and PS Vita. The game will have an English release later this year.
