Manchester United are reportedly on alert over rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo is selling his house in Madrid, sparking speculations about the Portuguese's move to the Premier League.

According to OK Diaro, Ronaldo and his mother Dolores Aveiro are putting their Madrid homes on the market, giving United a potential boost in their hunt to bring the Real Madrid star back at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo, whose form has dipped this season, has long been linked with a return to United, which seemingly became vivid after the 31-year-old was rumored to have held talks with Real president Florentino Perez for a possible transfer at the end of the season. The Portuguese football star admitted last month that he plans to play with Real for the next two years, but admitted he would consider other options once his contract expires in 2018.

"I want to stay here two more years. The two years I'm talking about take me to the end of my contract," Ronaldo said as quoted by Spanish newspaper AS. "And the future, we'll see."

Meanwhile, United defender Marcos Rojo is reportedly set for a summer exit as part of the Red Devils' plans for a squad revamp. According to John Cross of the Daily Mirror, the 26-year-old Argentine will be for sale to raise funds in pursuing "high profile stars."

The report added that Rojo has expressed interests to play for Argentine club Estudiantes once his contract with United expires in 2019. However, there is a growing sense Rojo will not be given that as United prepares to reshape their lineup.

"Defender Rojo will be allowed to leave after two years in red which have largely been regarded as a disappointment," Cross noted. "It will be part of a major shake-up at United as they target big-name signings with a clear-out also planned, whether manager Louis van Gaal stays or not."

One of United's targeted players is Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who could replace Rojo as the club's defender next season. Arsenal are also in play to to sign the French-born Gabonese striker, with the Gunners ready to shell out a huge offer, according to French media outlet Le 10 Sport.

However, Dortmund could make it hard for any of the Premier League clubs interested to sign Aubameyang by demanding a transfer fee of up to £79 million.
