The "Ridiculous 6"

"The Voice" coach Blake Shelton is set to make his acting debut in an Adam Sandler film.

In October 2014, movie and TV mogul Netflix revealed that they teamed up with Sandler for a series of shows, which includes four Adam Sandler produced and starred films and Shelton was pulled-in to join the first of the four films, "Ridiculous 6."

Since this deal was exclusively between Netfix, Sandler and his company Happy Madison, no other studio will be involved aside from the surprising fact that none of these films will be released in theaters, The Wrap reported.

While a film with no "box-office" opening is a bit of a concern for everyone involved, Sandler apparently has pulled together a superb list of cast for the first out of four under contract "Ridiculous 6."

Together with Sandler, the film will feature Shelton on his first-ever acting role with the likes of Jon Lovitz, Terry Crews, Dan Akroyd, Rob Schneider, Steve Buscemi, Nick Nolte, and Taylor Lautner.

"Ridiculous 6" will take a comedic path highlighting the "Grown Ups" main man  as an orphan whose formative years were spent in an Indian Tribe. Crews, Schneider, Wilson, and Lautner will play half-brothers to him with Nolte as the orphan's long-lost father.

Shelton, on the other hand, is said to portray the role of Wyatt Earp, the Old West legend. Vanilla Ice, also, will be present in the movie to play as Mark Twain, the movie's only real character role.

Netflix has not released a comment on these castings or any confirmation, whatsoever. However, they have revealed that the "Ridiculous 6" is Sandler's first produced film for them.

Production is scheduled to start in February.
