Middling club SD Eibar (10-12-8, 38 points) is set to take on contending squad Villarreal CF (15-6-9, 54 points) at the Estadio Municipal de Ipura on Sunday, April 3rd as the 2015-2016 La Liga season slowly winds down.

Eibar is currently on a six-game winless slide and had only won once in their last 10 games which made them settle at the ninth spot of the current league table after making it to as high as the fifth spot during the past few months.

Los Armeros most recent match was a 1-1 draw with bottom three team Getafe CF at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on March 18th, as reported by ESPN.

El Geta's Uruguayan defender Emiliano Velazquez netted the first goal of the match right at the seventh minute to give the hosts the early lead.

Getafe looked on its way to achieving an upset over manager José Luis Mendilibar's boys, but the Armagiñak was able to equalize the count three minutes before the full time whistle courtesy of a close range shot from Spanish striker Borja Baston, who was on loan from Atletico Madrid, to share the point with the Azulones in the overall standings.

Meanwhile, Villarreal pulled off an impressive 2-2 draw with league leaders and reigning La Liga champions FC Barcelona at their home field of Estadio El Madrigal on March 20th, as per SkySports.

The draw snapped Barça's 12-game winning streak in the Spanish domestic top flight while it helped Villarreal to bounce back from a two-game losing skid.

The Blaugrana drew first blood in the match with a medium range shot from midfielder Ivan Rakitic at the 20th minute and a penalty kick from Brazilian skipper Neymar at the 41st to give the defending champions a 2-0 lead as the first half ended.

However, El Submarino Amarillo did not give up in the second half and managed to cut the lead in half at the 57th courtesy of a tight-angled shot from Congolese striker Cedric Bakambu off a rebound from midfielder Denis Suarez's strike.

Head coach Marcelino's boys finally got the equalizer with an own goal by Barça's French defender Jeremy Mathieu at the 63rd off another shot by Bakambu.

The predicted result is a 2-0 victory for Villarreal.
