"The Bachelor" 2016 couple Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell vacation in Jamaica.

"The Bachelor" 2016 star Ben Higgins hinted that he was offered to be part of "Dancing with the Stars" 2016 but turned down the opportunity for Lauren Bushnell. The reality star explained that his number 1 priority as of the moment is to spend time with his fiancé.

According to Variety, Higgins refused to compete on ABC's reality dance show because he wanted to put his relationship with Bushnell first. While he did not say outright that "Dancing with the Stars" 2016 came knocking on his doors, the reality star admitted that there were a lot of offers coming his way. He explained that his priority was not on what's next for his career but instead on his future with Bushnell.

"I believe that what's best for us is to really concentrate on what's best for us and to really spend as much time together as possible," he shared.

Some fans could not help but think that it was a subtle shade towards other "The Bachelor" alums who joined "DWTS" right after the finale, including Chris Soules. When Soules' engagement with Whitney Bischoff fell through, multiple reports claim that one of the main reason was her incessant jealousy with Soules' dance partner Witney Carson.

While "The Bachelor" 2016 couple has yet to make announcements on their wedding plans, Bushnell told Entertainment Tonight that they wanted to start a family as soon as possible. She shared that even before they got engaged, Higgins and her were already talking about their future kids. If it were up to her, Bushnell said that she wanted two or three children.

While not all "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" couples end up together in the end, an insider believed that Higgins and Bushnell will be "one of the few couples to make it from the show." Unlike other couples who stayed together for the sake of popularity or fans, Higgins and Bushnell reportedly truly fell in love with each other.

Based on their recent sightings, the duo had been nothing but affectionate towards each other. They also reportedly get along with each other's friends and even got their seal of approval.

While some may insist that they were only acting in case some "The Bachelor" 2016 fans were around, an insider insist that Higgins and Bushnell were perfect for each other. It was said that they were both very "upbeat and positive kind people." Even when there were no cameras present, the duo reportedly acted "very lovey" and "really doted on each other."
