Marion Knight, a.k.a. "Suge", was charged with a murder case and $2 million bail after getting involved in hit-and-run in the afternoon of Jan. 29, Thursday, the CBS Los Angeles reported.

Knight immediately surrendered himself to the authorities in the morning of Jan. 30, Friday. The interrogation lasted for three hours and while Knight's lawyer James Blatt admitted that the mogul was the person behind the wheel when two men, a 51-year-old and a 55-year-old, were injured and killed, the incident was completely unintentional.

"We are very confident that once the investigation is done, he will be exonerated totally," the lawyer said. "He was physically assaulted by two men and in an attempt to escape, he hit two other individuals."

People who were at the same place, however, disputed the claim, according to Lt. John Corina, the Los Angeles county sheriff.

"The people we spoke with said that it was more of an intentional act," Corina shared with the media and even added that the mogul had been involved in two separate arguments before the incident.

One of the heated arguments took place after a promotional shoot for "Straight Outta Compton", an upcoming N.W.A. biopic, the Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and the Game reportedly were on set for the shoot, but left ahead of everyone else.

After the altercation, Knight followed two men, who were heading towards the parking lot of a fast-food chain located 20 minutes away and struck them with his pickup truck.

The mogul's career has been a series of legal woes and arrests with the latest happening in October 2014 when Knight and Katt Williams were arrested and charged with robbery for stealing a camera.
