An iPhone mobile device, one of the flagship products of technological giant Apple Inc.

Apple iPhone 7 is expected to be released in September. The iPhone SE, which was released in March, has received awesome discounts. The question now is whether you should purchase the discounted iPhone SE or wait for the new device?

The iPhone SE is currently available with a $100 discount on Walmart, The Verge reported. The retailer is now selling the device for $299. The offer requires purchasers to avail the handset through an installment plan from Sprint, Verizon Wireless and AT&T. Unfortunately, the deal is not available for T-Mobile consumers.

The deal will end on June 30, 2016. The offer is not available on the website of Walmart. Therefore, consumers are required to visit Walmart retail outlets to take advantage of the discount on Apple iPhone SE.

The smartphone sports a 4-inch screen with a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels and comes in storage options of 64 GB and 16 GB. Also, the iPhone SE features 2 GB of RAM and Apple A9 processor.

The device has a 12-megapixel iSight camera on its back panel and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. Touch ID fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi and NFC are some of the other features of the smartphone.

Rumors are doing the rounds that Apple will unveil iPhone 7 in September this year.

There are two models expected, a 5.5-inch model called iPhone 7 Plus and a 4.7-inch model called iPhone 7. Also, if reports are anything to go by, iPhone 7 will come equipped with a dual-camera, but only for a 5.5-inch model.

The upcoming iPhone 7 is expected to come without 3.5mm headphone jack. The device will have 3GB/2GB RAM and will be powered by A10 processor. Several reports also suggest that the new iPhone 7 will be 6.5mm thick and 0.6mm smaller than iPhone 6s.

According to an iDigitalTimes report, Apple will use a new fan-out packaging technology to save internal space in iPhone 7. The fan-out packaging technology will be applied to the upcoming iPhone's radio frequency chip and antenna switching module.

This feature will enable the upcoming iPhone 7 to switch between LTE and antennas such as CDMA and GSM. Furthermore, according to reports, the technology will allow for a greater number of I/O terminals.
It will help the device in fitting additional components in a single package.
