Roseanne Barr implicated Bill Cosby further on the sexual abuse claims thrown at him. According to Cosby's fellow comedian, she is not at all surprised that Cosby is currently dealing with a deluge of sexual abuse accusations.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, Barr shared that she knows of women who experienced being assaulted and harassed by Bill Cosby for a long time already, even before these accusations went public.
Barr said she has friends who knew some other women too who went through the same with the legendary comedian.
"We've all heard it for a long time, and it surprises nobody," detailed Barr, a TV superstar in the 1980s with an equally famous family sitcom like Cosby. "Like every woman in Hollywood - there's hardly any hairdressers or waitresses or working women who don't know somebody... we all know women who know somebody if not [someone] who [went] through it themselves with Bill Cosby."
According to Barr, there were already unending rumours and gossip about Cosby's actions but nobody cared up until comedian Hannibal Burress called "The Cosby Show" star as a rapist on his stand-up set. Barr claimed to Access Hollywood that nobody gave the accusations a thought before up until a "man says it."
However, Barr firmly believes that Cosby can still turn around and make a comeback despite these wrongdoings. She said she has "high hopes" for the comedian and because he has "billion bucks," he could certainly make these wrongs right.
Meanwhile, Yahoo News reported that Cosby's live shows in Canada continue to bring about protestors. His latest show in Ohio drew some protestors as well, even though his performances on these shows were often lauded. He even received standing ovations for some of these.
