In the first game, Australian bowler Brad Hogg gave a terrific performance with the ball, however, he stated that he was under pressure as Narine would have replaced him had he played the opening match.

"I was a bit scared before the match because if and when Narine comes my chances to play would be less. So I tried my level best," Hogg said via Indian Express.

Elsewhere, Harbhajan Singh commented about Mumbai Indians' last performance.

"We'd like to have won the first game and started on a good note. It's a game where you can give 110 per cent or 120 per cent. Result is not in our control. We tried our best with whatever total we had on board," Singh said via DNA.
