The New England Patriots are the victors against the Seattle Seahawks on Super Bowl XLIX on Feb. 1, Sunday, and Tom Brady did it for the win.
The talks and stories about deflate gate, numerous fines of Marshawn Lynch, and Richard Sherman's to play or not did not stop the Patriots to give their best on Sunday's game at Glendale, Arizona, ABC News reported.
It all came down to the wire as Tom Brady took the Patriots to an awesome last quarter beating the Seahawks 28-24. Brady's drive pushed the Seahawks to fight back as quarterback Russell Wilson connected with Jermaine Kearse put the Seahawks close to the Patriots' goal line. New England's rookie cornerback Malcom Butler took Wilson across the middle which held the Patriots on to the win, according to AJC Sports.
This is Brady's fourth victory out of his six appearances at the big game but the first Super Bowl for the New England Patriots. Brady together with other big NFL players with the likes of Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana are those with the most wins all time. Montana was his NFL idol.
It was Brady's fourth quarter drive that brought the Patriots to a big 10 point lead on to the breathtaking victory against the defending champion Seattle Seahawks. The New England players went on for 64 yards out of ten plays, and finished it off with a three-yard touchdown pass by Brady to Julian Edelman.
"Every team has a journey, and a lot of people lost faith in us early. But we held strong. We held together," Brady said, ESPN reported.
The 37-year-old New England Patriots quarterback completed all of his eight throws in the game. Brady wins his third MVP award.
