Little is known about "The Incredibles 2" plot as Disney is keen on maintaining the quality of every film they produce according to "Finding Dory" director, Andrew Stanton, and film producer, Lindsey Collins.
New updates were given by Stanton together with Collins in an interview with Slash Film regarding "The Incredibles 2." Asked what fans can expect, Stanton can only say that plenty of doors opened in the ending of the first film.
"Well, look, it was in the movie from the first one," Stanton said in the interview. "There was a big promise at the back end of the movie. 'Here we go. They're now a family of superheroes.'"
Also, Collins added that Disney is very cautious with regards to "The Incredibles 2" plot, but knowing that Brad Bird will be back as its director, they are confident that the franchise is in good hands.
"Brad [Bird] is as good as they get," Collins added in the interview. She also said that Bird is very much aware of the hype surrounding the film and although there is pressure, she expects the director to pull it off just like he did in the first one.
Owning the box office in 2004, "The Incredibles" franchise is back for a sequel and fans will once again see the Parr family save the day from villains. The film garnered $631.4 million in the box office back in its heyday and it might not come as a surprise if Disney decides to capitalize on that.
However, little is known about its plot whether it will pick up right where it left off or fans will see the Parr siblings all grown-up and taking the lead in protecting their city, Cinema Blend reported. There is even a fan theory saying Jack-Jack Parr, the youngest among the Parr siblings, will be the central villain together with Syndrome.
Also, it has been confirmed that Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Frozone, and it is believed that he will play a bigger role this time compared to the first movie.
Meanwhile, here are some ideas from fans on what they would like to see in the sequel.
