“Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki is paying the price of fame as the most famous actor in China and South Korea, thanks to the recently concluded 16-episode Korean drama.

But along with a top celebrity status and higher talent fees come loss of privacy for the 30-year-old actor. Soompi reported that at the wrap-up press conference on Friday for “Descendants of the Sun,” Song was asked if he voted in the recent election.

South Korea held its 20th legislative election on April 13 for 300 seats in the National Assembly. The result was a major blow to South Korean President Park Geun-hye, who opened last week with Song the K-Style Hub, a Korean food-themed promotion center in Seoul. Her Saenuri Party got 122 seats, the main opposition Minjoo Party secured 123 seats and the People’s Party took 38 seats, reported Yonhap News.

Song’s faced showed he was annoyed by the question, but he managed to be diplomatic and replied, “Voting and things along those lines are very personal to me, and I haven’t even shared whether or not I voted with my agency.”

The actor added that he also disliked the leak in media of the photo of his former girlfriend and his family also being exposed to media that his visit to their family home in Daejeon gets covered. Soompi reported that his parent’s home, which used to belong to his grandparents, is now a landmark as tourists take selfies in front of their house.
