‘Arrow’ Season 4 finale (episode 23) spoilers, promo revealed: What happens on ‘Schism’; Stephen Amell and David Ramsey tease what to expect

"Arrow" season 4 could see the members of Team Arrow facing new threats and dangers in their respective lives.

Following Laurel Lance's (Katie Cassidy) death, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and his team will all head to the former's funeral.

After their emotional turnout, Oliver, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Thea (Willa Holland) and Diggle (David Ramsey) will all realize the impact of Laurel's death.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said that it will take a very long time before Team Arrow could move on from Laurel's demise.

"Right now, they're being a little too cautious, which is more of what's tripping them up in the wake of Laurel's death. They're all still reeling. It was a big blow to the audience, it was a big blow to us as writers and producers, and it's certainly a big blow to the characters," he said.

Kreisberg went on to say that Laurel has also been the truest hero among all of the other members of Team Arrow. This is the very reason why it will be so difficult to move on from her death.

"Laurel's been with the show since the beginning. In some ways, she was the truest hero of them all, because we really got to see her become a hero. When we met Oliver, he was already the Arrow, he was already skilled and had gone through his baptism of fire. We watched as Laurel was a crusading attorney, then slowly fell apart and rebuild herself into this hero," he said.

Meanwhile, the exec said that Laurel's death will remind Team Arrow that their lives are always at risk because of what they have decided to do.

"But there are real consequences to what they're doing and their lives are constantly in danger; at any moment anyone of them can lose it. That's really what the team is dealing with in the last six episodes of the season," he said.

In other news, there are some rumors that the upcoming episode of "Arrow" season 4 will see Diggle taking his own life.

"Arrow" season 4 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
