Middling team AFC Bournemouth (11-15-8, 41 points) and dethroned champions Chelsea FC (11-11-11, 44 points) are set to take on each other at the Vitality Stadium on April 23rd, Saturday as the 2015-2016 Premier League season slowly winds down to a close.

Last season's Football League Championship winners Bournemouth are currently at the 13th spot of the league table, comfortably 11 points away from the bottom three relegation area with only four games left in their season.

The team has lost three of their last four games, however, as they head on to the crunch time of their current campaign.

Boscombe suffered a disappointing 1-2 loss to contending team Liverpool FC also at their home field of Vitality Stadium last Sunday, as reported by SkySports.

The Reds scored the first two goals of the contest with a rebound play from Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino off a Daniel Sturridge blocked strike at the 41st and a high-leaping header from Sturridge himself during the first half injury time as the visitors went up 2-0 at the break.

Head coach Eddie Howe's men tried to fight back in the second half, but was not able to score a goal until stoppage time when Norwegian midfielder Joshua King netted a consolation shot past Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward.

Meanwhile, Chelsea suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time in a long while as they succumbed to streaking squad Manchester City, 0-3, at their home field of Stamford Bridge last Saturday, as per ESPN.

Argentine striker Sergio Agüero unleashed a hat trick at the 33rd, 54th, and 80th minutes of the game to turn back the challenge of interim head coach Guus Hiddink's squad, who had no response all throughout the contest.

Hiddink is set to be replaced by incoming manager Antonio Conte this summer and had been successful for the Blues with a 16-game unbeaten run before they lost their previous two fixtures.

The Pensioners are presently right in the middle of the standings, at the 10th spot, safely 14 points above the bottom three relegation zone but are nine points behind the last Europa League qualifying berth held by sixth-running team West Ham United.

The predicted result is a 2-1 decision for Chelsea.

Bournemouth starting lineup (4-1-4-1 formation): Boruc; Francis, Elphick, Cook, Daniels; Surman; Ritchie, Gosling, Stanislas, Gradel; King

Chelsea starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Begovic; Azpilicueta, Cahill, Ivanovic, Rahman; Fabregas, Mikel; Willian, Loftus-Cheek, Pedro; Costa
