It was confirmed that the "Beasts of No Nation" actor Idris Elba will play as Krall on "Star Trek Beyond."

It has been almost a year since fans saw the "True Detective" series on the small screen. Although HBO president Michael Lombardo said that Nic Pizzolatto can still do the third season of the series, HBO has not released yet any specific details regarding the long awaited "True Detective" season 3.

It cannot be denied that critiques and fans found season 1 of "True Detective" to be better than season 2. The first season was directed by Cary Fukunaga, while "True Detective" season 2 was directed by Pizzolato. Despite of the negative feedback that "True Detective" season 2 received, Lombardo is still willing to give Pizzolatto the directing job for season 3. As a matter of fact, the HBO president even called Pizzolatto, and said if he wants "True Detective" season 3, then the two can talk about it, Cinema Blend reported.

Given this information, fans are really hoping that "True Detective" season 3 would become a reality in the near future. Fans are also hoping that Pizzolatto can redeem himself in "True Detective" season 3, knowing that the director's contract with HBO has been extended up to 2018, Variety has learned.

Meanwhile, rumors about the anticipated "True Detective" season 3 leads to Idris Elba's possible involvement in the next season. In his interview with Huff Post Entertainment in 2015, the "Beasts of No Nation" actor said "I like the way you are thinking," when he was asked about a possibility for him to be one of the cast of the upcoming "True Detective" season.

It is said that it is not impossible that Elba would star in "True Detective" season 3, as he is an excellent actor. He proved that he is an excellent actor through his roles in various films, including the "Thor" movies, "Prometheus," "Pacific Rim" and his latest film, which he was certainly praised by all when he delivered the role of a Commandant with extreme excellence in, "Beasts of No Nation."

Nevertheless, knowing that the "True Detective" television series changes their cast every season, there is a high chance that fans will see new faces in "True Detective" season 3. As of the moment, HBO is still not releasing any specific release update of the long awaited "True Detective" season 3.
