Song Joong-ki Proya Endorsement

One of the 10 endorsement offers in China made to “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki appears to have pushed through.

Singaporean daily Straits Times reported on Monday that the 30-year-old actor got a record-breaking endorsement deal with Proya, a Chinese beauty brand. The two-year contract, according to Chinese industry insiders estimated, would be worth 4 billion won ($3.48 million).

The amount is said to be higher than previous Proya endorsement deals with South Korean stars Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Min Ho. The advertisement would have Song Joong-ki and Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi. His image is already in the Chinese website of Proya.

Hellokpop confirmed that the South Korean actor and Chinese actress are the new endorsers of Proya.

Proya’s corporate mission is “Beautiful and Better Life,” while the core concept of Proya products is “Natural and Healthy Skin Care.” The company has created six brands, including Proya, Uzero, Anya, Yoya, Cats & Roses and O’laxsn, spread over 1,000 products.

The Chinese cosmetics company has a nationwide distribution network across more than 30 Chinese cities which includes department stores, cosmetic boutiques, large supermarket chains and electronic business platforms.

Proya claims to be the leading skincare brand in China, with focus on application of advanced marine technology, pure clean skin beautifying energy and nursing ingredients from the deep ocean.

Song Joong-ki recently endorsed the cosmetic brand Forencos, modeled for Dior Homme and was featured in Vogue Korea.
