"Arrow" season 4 are reportedly not pleased with the executive producers' decision to kill off Katie Cassidy's character Laurel Lance or the Black Canary.

According to Design N Trend, there are several reasons why the character shouldn't have been killed off in the previous episode.

One of the reasons the publication gave had to do with Laurel's father Quentin. In the previous season, Quentin already went through a devastating time in his life when he discovered that his daughter Sarah had died.

A few months later, Sarah was resurrected, but she didn't immediately act as the old Sarah. As a result, Quentin still had to deal with the fact that one of his daughter's is missing in his life.

With Laurel's death, Quentin no longer has daughters to talk to or spend quality time with. Sarah is currently on a mission to become the world's next legend.

Meanwhile, Laurel was already coming into terms with her being a superhero. In the beginning, she was hesitant to assume the role of the Black Canary. However, after her sister died, she realized that wearing the costume could mean saving more lives.

Now that she has been killed off, fans are frustrated over the fact that Laurel could have done so much more on the show if the executive producers decided to keep her alive.

In other news, the publication also claimed that Cassidy is one of the fan favorites on the show. This is why it was really devastating for viewers of "Arrow" to see her die.

Last year, Cassidy spoke with Design N Trend about her plans after "Arrow."

According to her, she's open for anything and everything, but she would prefer to star in a bad action or heavy drama film.

"Really anything that I am inspired by. I have also studied comedy for many years, so I think it could be kind of fun to shake things up and do something a little silly. Who knows, the world is my oyster!" she said.

"Arrow" season 4 is just a few more episodes short of its finale installment. "Arrow" season 4 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
