‘The Walking Dead’ (TWD) Season 7 Rumors, Spoilers: 2 Solid Proofs that Seemingly Confirmed Negan Killed Glenn

Glenn Rhee, is he alive or dead?

Season 6 of "The Walking Dead" ended with a bat-wielding Negan killing an unknown victim though TWD fans are quick to venture that at the receiving end of the deadly blows was a beloved character - Glenn. New rumors now indicate that might be true - that Glenn did not survive the brutal execution-style slaying.

Yet he will be avenged by Rick and company, and if a new report from TV Line is to be believed, Glenn's revenge-seeking friends will be joined by a new character named Augustus. Augustus as Season 7 addition to TWD was indicated in a new casting call issued by showrunner AMC, the blog report added.

Rick's newfound ally appears loosely based on the comics counterpart Ezekiel - a zookeeper before the world turned upside down. Of note, TV Line said is that Augustus is likely to begin an intimate connection with Michonne (that is if AMC will follow the comics storyline), somehow cementing his bond with Rick's group.

And Augustus beefing up what's left of the Alexandria colony and Rick's team should send shivers down to Negan's spine. Part of the Augustus/Ezekiel package is a tiger survivor that is only raring to pounce on human and walkers alike.

Once Glenn's grieving friends and Augustus cross path "a plan is hatched to take down," Negan and his minions, TV Line said, practically confirming that it was Glenn who was bludgeoned to death during the season finale.

Now if AMC's casting adjustment will not convince that actor Steven Yeun (Glenn) will not return for Season 7 of The Walking Dead then the latest news from The Hollywood Reporter might just do the trick. The publication said that Yeun is confirmed to star with Hollywood superstar Jake Gyllenhaal on a Korean-produced film titled Okja.

Okja, the report said, "centers on a girl who befriends a genetically manufactured pig named Okja. When the pig grows up to gigantic proportions, the corporation that created him takes him, thrusting the girl, now a teen, into a mission to take it back."

The Hollywood Reporter said that production of Okja is already underway and the cast are set to shoot on numerous locations - spanning at least two continents, which suggests that Yeun will be away for some time. And that translates to Yeun not playing Glenn when The Walking Dead hits the small screen anew for Season 7 in October 2016.
