Boruto Manga

Boruto: Naruto Next Generation manga will be pretty much a continuation of the Naruto series, only this time the spotlight are now on the new breed of ninjas led by Boruto. The new series, which is scheduled to debut on May 9, will further expand the current Shinobi world and at the same time, answer questions left unanswered by the previous series or movie.

Masashi Kishimoto's latest 45-page one shot manga was aimed to reveal Mitsuki's origins before the actual Boruto series starts. The Naruto creator wanted to provide chunk of important details about Orochimaru's son Mitsuki as much as possible, paving the way for the introduction of the three central characters of the upcoming manga series.

Prior to the release of Naruto: The Path That the Waxing Moon Illuminates, Sarada Uchiha's background was heavily explored throughout the 10 chapters of Naruto Gaiden: the 7th Hokage and the Scarlet Spring, while Boruto was officially thrust into the Naruto univerese in Boruto: Naruto the Movie.

Who is Metal Lee's Mother?

Boruto: the Naruto Movie provided a satisfying conclusion following the events of the original Naruto series with Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura coming full circle by having families of their own. On the other hand, it also leaves plot holes and questions that need to be addressed at some point. As a matter of fact, one of these 'mysteries' is the identity of Metal Lee's mother.

Metal Lee, despite being a second-tier character, has easily become a fan favorite among Naruto fans just like his father Rock Lee. The hot-blooded, taijutsu specialist of the Leaf had a fair share of exposure in the last Naruto movie, but his origins - particularly the other half of his parentage - remain unknown.

I think this is where the role of Boruto: Next Generation gets highlighted, plugging all major plot holes the previous series took for granted. Metal Lee's mother has been hotly debated in anime forums (some say it could be Konoha's Tenten), and I believe this dispute will soon come to an end with a big revelation in Buroto Manga.
