Dark Souls is an action role-playing video game developed by FromSoftware.

In advance of "Dark Souks 3" 1.04 update arrival, game publisher Bandai Namco has announced that it will be bringing down game servers across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The downtime and duration of the stoppage will vary depending on the platform.

The update is targeting a number of changes and fixes to the third installment of the "Dark Souls" franchise, with players who have never accessed the Untended Grave getting blocked from teleportations to the place. Also, the developer has "Eased" several elements, counting the conditions to Rosalia's Finger.

In terms of the fixes, the update will clear out a problem of the game's occasional crashes, where the player got disconnected during multiplayer sessions. Additionally, if the player is equipped with a ring of increasing Max HP, stats will now work as intended, Game Spot reported.

In the meantime, reports show that "Dark Souls 3" will be getting its second DLC expansion pack released in the first half of 2017. The revelation was made by Game Director Hidetaka Miyazaki in an interview with Taiwanese website GNN, as cited by VideoGamer.

In the interview, Miyazaki made comments about "two large sections," which are currently in the works. He described the first section as the "first chapter" and disclosed that it would see its release in the fall of the year.

As well, the game director revealed that the second "Chapter" for "Dark Souls 3" will get released sometime in early 2017. Apart from the release dates of the chapters, he did not dish out further information about the upcoming "chapters."

As interpreted by gaming analysts, the "first chapter," as mentioned by Miyazaki, might have meant the first "Dark Souls 3" DLC pack and "second chapter" the second DLC pack. On the other hand, the game publisher has already confirmed the release date of the first DLC, revealing that it will feature new bosses, weapons, and armor.

In spite of the lack of more information on the second "Dark Souls 3" DLC pack , speculations hint that the long development period might mean that the expansion pack might introduce similar game elements as the first DLC. However, "Dark Souls 3" fans should wait for more reliable information from the developer.
