'Call of Duty' is a first-person shooter video game franchise, which began on Microsoft Windows, and later expanded to consoles and handhelds.

A potential "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" teaser has been spotted in "Black Ops III," where players of the popular "Nuketown 24/7" map have noticed a few additions, which point toward the next "Call of Duty" game.

Among the few additions is a spaceship which seems to appear in the sky above the map, as previously unwitnessed logos flash across the screen for a short period. According to Gamespot, the spaceship certainly confirms the "space aspect" of the rumored "Call of Duty: Warfare."

This is not the first time that an in-game teaser has appeared in an old "Call of Duty" game to foreshadow the announcement of the next sequel. The franchise reportedly did the same by posting a teaser image for "Black Ops III" in "Black Ops II."

Also, an out-of-the-blue listing on the United States PlayStation Store has accidentally revealed "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." In connection to this, promotional material has surfaced online confirming that the game will include a remastered version of "Modern Warfare."

Some leaked images, which appear to originate from a retailer, show that "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will get released sometime in November. The standard version of the game costs $60 while the Legacy Edition, which includes the remastered version, costs $88.

One of the images, which first appeared on Reddit, affirms that 10 multiplayer maps will get highlighted in the "Modern Warfare" remaster, although the exact maps are not specified. "The original "Call of Duty 4" reportedly received 20 multiplayer maps, four of which were added through DLC.

What is more, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" Facebook page seems to have leisurely hinted that the rumors are true.  The official Twitter page, as well, has responded to a two-year-old post with a poop emoji. In the post, Angus Vanderslott adds a caption "If I ever hear the words 'Call of Duty 4 PS4 remaster' I will literally shit my pants with excitement"

Even as this is the case, the announcement has attracted various critics. As noticed from several forums, fans are expressing their distaste over the first "Modern Warfare" inclusion. In 2015, the fanmade petition requested for a "Modern Trilogy" collection for Xbox One and PS4 consoles.

After thousands of signatures, reaction to the news has been unkind towards the remaster version getting included in the expensive "Call of Duty" package. All the same, it is expected that the game will be unveiled soon.
