"The Vampire Diaries" star Leslie-Anne Huff recently talked about her character Rayna Cruz, being compared to Nina Dobrev, her co-stars and more.

While speaking with TV Line, the half Filipino actress said that she doesn't think she looks like Dobrev. However, she's very pleased with the fact that she resembles the actress who gave life to Elena Gilbert.

"It wasn't in my head at all. One of my best friends, this is her favorite show of all time, so she may have mentioned it to me once or twice. But that was the last thing on my mind going into audition. It's obviously a huge compliment to say that I look anything like her, so I'll take it," she said.

Huff also talked about the fans noticing her resemblance with Dobrev and said that it was a bit fun for fans to think that she was going to play the role of Dobrev's doppelganger.

"I think it was fun to mention that and to toy with it. It gets the fans thinking, 'Wait, is she a doppelganger?' That's one of the things this show does so well, dropping little hints for us to chew on," she adi.

Meanwhile, Huff shared that she wasn't able to watch all of the seasons of "The Vampire Diaries" because when she started binging on season 1, she was already called out to audition.

"I had just started binging the first season when I got called into audition, and once I was cast, I tried to watch as much as I could. I especially watched season 4 with the brotherhood of the 5 storyline."

In other news, the actress also shared that she actually had to learn how to sword-fight for the show.

"I'd like to say I'm very physically fit, but I certainly didn't have any sword fighting training under my belt until I started doing 'The Vampire Diaries,' so that's one of the biggest gifts from playing Rayna - learning all of that stuff. As soon as I got to work, they put me into training with a stunt coordinator."

"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW
