Reports also suggest that the base model of the device will be priced at $1999 Yuan ($310). It is expected that the base model will feature native storage of 32 GB, 4 GB of RAM and SD 820 chip.
Moreover, it is expected that the higher-end model will come with an inbuilt storage of 64 GB, 6 GB of RAM and the same chipset.
Furthermore, the device will feature an impressive rear camera.
Speculations are doing the rounds that the OnePlus 3 will come with a 16 MP rear-facing camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera.
A camera sample of the smartphone has been disclosed by Pete Lau, the CEO of OnePlus. The picture that features pink colored flowers seems to be rich in colors and well-detailed.
OnePlus has not disclosed information on the release date of OnePlus 3. However, according to several reports, the device will be unveiled on May 18 followed by a market release in June.
However, earlier reports suggested that the launch date of OnePlus 3 will happen in the end of second quarter of this year. OnePlus's Carl Pei said that the smartphone will captivate people with its new design, CNET reported.
Rumor has it that the tech giant Microsoft is building a Windows 10 Mobile ROM for the upcoming device. There are speculations that OnePlus 3 will feature Dash Charge, which is OnePlus's own fast charging technology.
OnePlus 2, which is powered by the Snapdragon 810 chipset, lacked the Qualcomm's Quick Charge feature.
The company has also decreased the cost of OnePlus 2 to $349. Furthermore, OnePlus released the OnePlus X in 2015 and that device is still generating a bit of interest from customers.
