Kerry Washington is expecting second child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha.

Kerry Washington is expecting her second child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha. The report suggests that her pregnancy may affect the schedule of "Scandal" Season 6. There are speculations that her pregnancy has led the producers to weigh in a series of options regarding the upcoming season.

According to TV Line, The American Broadcasting Company is set to make an announcement about its schedule for fall. They are considering to decrease the number of episodes or delay upcoming season's return until the midseason.

However, this is not the first time producers have to juggle with the schedule. Previously, Washington, who plays Olivia Pope in the hit American series, was pregnant with her first child during the Season 3 of the show. The season was then trimmed to 18 episodes, instead of usual 22 episodes.

Many other options were also experimenter, one of it included, making her character wear many chunky coats to hide her baby bump. She apparently spent less time onscreen. The producers are expected to do the same this time as well.

In the wake of her pregnancy news, there is a lot of pressure on the production team. It is reported that they are also considering some other undisclosed options to avoid the subsequent delay.

According to E! News, Washington can possibly be given a storyline, in which her character will also be pregnant. The other options on the producers' table are similar to the things tried in Season 3.

The show's producers have not given out any official confirmation yet regarding the television series' new schedule. They have not even commented on its line up but the plans are said to be in the offing and are reported to be revealed soon.

The American actress is the lead character in the hit drama series "Scandal" by ABC. She has garnered worldwide acclaim for her role as Olivia Pope. Her pregnancy was recently revealed when the actress' baby bump was evidently visible during her appearance at the recently held White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in Washington D.C.
