Lee Min Ho recently signed up with MYM Entertainment after ending his management contract with Starhaus Entertainment. The actor's transfer was confirmed on May 3 by a representative from the agency he just left behind.
"Lee Min Ho is setting a new start with MYM Entertainment. The change is made to provide the optimal environment for Lee Min Ho," AllKpop quoted the rep as saying.
A few hours after the announcement, it was learned that the company where Lee will move to is being co-managed by his own sister Lee Yoon Jung. MYM has been revealed to be an agency jointly operated by Starhaus' CEO Jang Young Hoon and Lee's sister's company Euphoria Seoul. Now, with CEO Jang co-managing MYM Entertainment, it can be said that the "Gangnam Blues" star did not totally withdrew from Starhaus.
In any case, there is not much time left before the actor has to temporarily leave the entertainment business to fulfill his army duty. His actual enlistment date has yet to be determined but he is already finishing up as many projects as he can.
According to Kpop Herald, Lee's handlers normally tell the media not to ask the actor anything about his mandatory military service. However, in a recent event, he talked about his impending enlistment without being asked. He explained that what prompted him to open up was a simple gesture from a fan.
Lee learned that one of his fans declared that she will shave her hair, as a promise that she will be waiting for him to come back once he completed his military service. The Hallyu star said that he was really touched with the gesture and finds it very meaningful.
However, Lee regrets to say that although he knows how much the fans wanted to know the details of his enlistment, he has nothing specific to share yet as of now. He promise though, that he will inform them once everything is set.
Meanwhile, Lee is making a comeback on the big screen via the film "Bounty Hunters" which is set to be released soon. There is also a rumor that he will be starring in a drama with superstar actress Jun Ji Hyun so there is a possibility that he will be returning on TV as well.
