New details for "Suicide Squad" the movie will feature The Joker's possible origin story and director David Ayer addressing reshoot issues and a film sequel soon.
Hollywood actor and "30 Seconds from Mars" singer Jared Leto teased a possible origin story of Batman's arch-nemesis, The Joker in "Suicide Squad". The Joker's real identity has been one of many mysteries within DC comics and all of media as DC publication announced that they will be revealing the truth of who the Clown Prince of Crime in the in the upcoming "Justice League issue #50". Leto stated that he is not allowed to talk much about the film, but hinted that it walked in completely new direction and when the Joker was done there and it gives viewers an indication and sort of map of where and when the character is coming from, ComingSoon reported.
The Joker will be the primary antagonist for "Suicide Squad" movie and looks to start some mayhem against the all-villain superhero group consisting of Deadshot (Will Smith), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) etc.
Leto stated that it was quite an honor to portray The Joker as the character has been written in pop culture for 75 years and to be included in the list of people who have redefined the Clown Prince of Crime from every media from comics, TV series, animated series and in film.
In other news, there have rumors making rounds that reshoots for "Suicide Squad" have been done to add little light and humor to the film, ever since the movie goers and critiques deemed "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" storyline as too dark.
Director David Ayer stated that the film has a lot of "humor" in it and teased that each character hated each other from the start, but as the film progresses they will likely "die" for each other. Ayer added that the film will be PG-13 and there was a lot of framework that had been installed, adding that it was a very dense film, in story, set-up, and visuals. Ayer confirmed that he did all the cuts within the film and believes that there is only one cut for making movies.
As for the reshoot rumors, Ayer compared it to a brand new car and there are upgrades needed to make it better, believing that studio believes in his work. Ayer teased the possibility of working at a sequel to "Suicide Squad" as he love working on the film and the actors and actresses that helped in making it happen, Fandango reported.
"Suicide Squad" will be release in cinemas on Aug. 5.
