Proud father Michael Tse posts photos of him with his newborn child over Sina Weibo.

Hong Kong-based actor Michael Tse has entered a new phase in his life when he and his wife welcomed their first child after being married for nearly a decade.

Now enjoying fatherhood, Tse proudly shared photos of him and his newborn son over his personal account in China's Twitter-like microblogging platform on Friday.

"This is an amazing feeling that I cannot express in words. When I look at how he rests sweetly in my arms, I just had to make the promise of raising him well without any hesitation," he wrote.

Eight years in a marriage with his wife Tina Lee Tin Yan, the 47-year-old TVB actor and his beloved were not blessed with a child even if they have been trying very hard to have one.

According to rumors, Tina had a blocked fallopian tube which became the main reason why the possibility of her conceiving a child was very slim.

Because they want a child so badly, Michael and Tina have undergone artificial insemination to overcome her condition.

Finally, after three tries at the procedure, Tina became pregnant September last year.

According to China Entertainment News, the couple kept a low profile during Tina's pregnancy and declined to reveal the baby's gender.

Anxious to become a father, Michael had even made an early reservation for Tina's hospital ward and took time off from work to accompany his wife when she was about to give birth.

Worried that she would have a difficult time delivering their child, Michael suggested that Tina undergo caesarean section.

Early this February, Tina then gave birth to a healthy baby boy, who was given the nickname "Tian Tian," weighing 2.72 kilograms.
