Descendants of the Sun May 14 Concert

A concert without songs? “Descendants of the Sun” cast will hold a special concert on May 14, but the missing “songs” are not the ones that singers sing, rather it refers to the two lead stars of the blockbuster Korean Halyu. Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo would not be around for the special event because of prior commitments.

The 30-year-old actor is currently in Changsu, China, taping for his guesting in “Happy Camp” and would begin his eight-city China leg of his Asian tour. On the same day, Song Joong-ki will hold his Beijing fans day meet.

The representative of Song Hye Kyo similarly cites work as the reason why the lead actress would be absent from the event, reported Soompi. The "Descendants of the Sun" concert would be held twice on Saturday, the first at 3 p.m. and the second at 7 p.m., KST. Venue is the Kyonggi University in Seoul, reported IBTimes Singapore.

Selling of tickets began as early as April 22, so for sure, despite the stiff price of a ticket from 66,000 to 110,000 won, the tickets are likely sold out by now and scalpers are having a heyday ripping off fans who were not able to purchase a ticket from Ticketlink.

The rest of the cast of the blockbuster 16-episode drama have confirmed their participation at the May 14 concert. They include Jin Goo, Kim Ji Won, Lee Seung Joon and Seo Jeong Yeon. The last two actors will serve as love counselors for the day, while Jin Goo and Kim Ji Won would share their most memorable scenes.

Outside the cast, singers Gummy, SG Wannabe, Lyn, MC the MAX, Kim Na Young and rapper Mad Clown would also perform for the fans, both their respective hit songs and OST tracks from “Descendants of the Sun.”
