Song Joong Ki mobbed at the airport in China; ‘Descendants of the Sun’ star will not attend OST concert in Seoul

Song Joong Ki is currently in China to attend at least two of his schedules. His arrival at the airport was described as chaotic as numerous fans flocked to the area even though the actor arrived very late at night.

However, fans were not able to see him up close because he was led to the VIP exit of the Changsha Huanghua International Airport. The route was used as the officials fear for the safety of both the actor and the huge crowd who were waiting for Song.

According to Kpop Herald, the "Descendants of the Sun" star visited China to film Hunan's "Happy Camp" as a guest. The said program is one of the most popular shows in the region for it always feature the biggest stars in China. Some of the Korean celebrities who already appeared on the show are Park Hae Jin, Girls Generations' Yoona and Hwang Chi Yeul.

The taping of "Happy Camp" took place on May 11 at the Hunan TV broadcasting station, and since fans already know that Song is going to be there, hundreds of fans showed up at the entrance side of the building. It was not revealed how long the filming was but fans stayed outside the studio until late.

Meanwhile, the "Descendants of the Sun" OST concert is taking place on May 14, but unfortunately, both the lead stars - Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo - are not attending the event. The respective agencies of the two stars explained that their talents have prior work commitments on the day of the concert so it impossible to make an appearance, Soompi reported.

The organizers of the concert assured fans that other popular cast members like Jin Goo, Kim Ji Won, Lee Seung Joon and Seo Jeong Yeon will be there to interact with fans. They will be backed up by idol groups and singers which include MC the Max, Mad Clown, Lyn, Kim Na Young and SG Wannabe.

The much-awaited "DOTS" OST concert is set to be held at Kyung Hee University. The cast will stage two show schedules within the day - 3p.m. and 7 p.m. - in order to accommodate more fans.
