"19 Kids and Counting" alums and the Duggar family are once again at the center of a major controversy.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, the Duggar family is members of the controversial Quiverfull movement. The latter is known as a group that advocates for families to have lots of children.

The movement also reportedly blames the victims of sexual abuse by saying that they may be the ones who encouraged others to abuse them. For instance, if women wear indecent clothes then it is their fault if a man would assault them.

Meanwhile, other than this, the Quiverfull movement is also known for promoting arranged teen marriages.

The group's head Vaughn Quiverfull runs a "Get Them Married!" retreat which is designed for the parents of very young children to find the right husband for their child.

According to Raw Story, Quiverfull typically quotes the Bible where it says "From 12 to 20 years of age." He also quoted John Gill who said that the best time to tie the knot is at 12 and a half years old especially when young girls are already developing their breasts.

"The youth ready for marriage has breasts. A woman who is to be married is one who has breasts; breasts which signal her readiness for marriage, and breasts who promise enjoyment for her husband," he wrote.

In other news, Quiverfull was supposed to have a retreat, but it was cancelled.

"The Salvation Army has denied a request by the Let Them Mary organization to conduct its event at Camp Hiawatha. Our decision is based upon our long-standing concern for the welfare of children. At the Salvation Army, we work every single day to provide a safe, caring place for children, many of whom have been left vulnerable due to the actions of adults," a representative told the publication.

Meanwhile, fans of the Duggar family believe that they cannot be associated with the cult because their eldest daughter is still not married.

"19 Kids and Counting" was recently cancelled by TLC following Josh Duggar's sexual molestation scandal.
