Bill Maher Cracks Joke On Bill Cosby Scandal During Sarah Palin Discussion

Bill Cosby has been accused of drugging and sexually assaulting women years ago.

Bill Cosby's sex scandal seems to be far from over. While Cosby's controversies appear to have died down recently with Bruce Jenner and Bobbi Kristina Brown making the headlines, Bill Maher made a joke about Cosby on his HBO talk show "Real Time With Bill Maher."

During a segment about former United States Vice President hopeful Sarah Palin, Maher said, "Sean Hannity asked, 'Did the teleprompter go down?' The Washington Examiner questioned whether she should be included in future Republican events. And Bill Cosby said, 'I wouldn't drug her with your drink.'"

Years ago, Cosby and Maher's namesake former U.S. President Bill Clinton was also involved in a sex scandal involving Monica Lewinsky.

Three decades ago, during Clinton's term, Lewinsky was hired to work as an intern at the White House. She eventually revealed the relationship she had with her boss, Clinton, which led to the latter's impeachment.

In 2014, Lewinsky claimed to be "the first person to have their reputation completely destroyed worldwide via the Internet" as she herself experienced online harassment in the late 1990s. she said her life since the scandal was tainted by suicidal thoughts and a deep sense of shame.

As a part of her campaign against cyberbullying, Lewinsky herself joined Twitter.

Another victim of abuse, although of different sort, is Tony Award-winning "Cabaret" actor Alan Cumming.

While promoting his new book "Not My Father's Son: A Memoir," Cummings mentioned that he has known Lewinsky for 16 years and described her as "a lovely girl."

"The fact that she's been able to remain such an amazing person with all that horrible bile that was heaped upon her as a young woman is testament to the person she is," Cumming told The New York Daily News.
