The former manager of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, identified as "Goodfellas" star Frank DiLeo, reportedly saved the famous singer from being killed by a mob hit from the Mafia as they planned to kill him in the past, Mirror reported.

This was revealed in a book that will be based on DiLeo's journals and videos. DiLeo has managed the moonwalker back in the 1980s and he has claimed in the book that will be published that he has used his connections and his influences in order to ask the Mafia to call off the planned mob hit.

The book will be published and compiled by his former business partner named Mark Lamica and it will be called "DiLeo: I am going to set the record straight."

In an interview in 2011 months before his death, DiLeo told Gate Crasher that the book will be setting the information straight following the release o the controversial "Michael" album.

According to reports, his role in the film "Goodfellas" had a lot of influence regarding the cancellation of the hit since he played the role of a gangster who was part of the mob in New York.

DiLeo has already passed away at the age of 63 back in 2011 due to complications from a heart surgery he has undergone but his personal journals and video and tape recordings about Jackson was left behind thus the book was written.

The book contains the details of the supposed contract killing via a mob hit and aside from that, it also reveals the addiction of Michael Jackson regarding plastic surgery.

According to DiLeo's journals and recording, the reason why Jackson underwent operations and surgeries was because he could not stand that he looked a lot like his father Joseph Jackson. Lamica said in a statement that Jackson once told DiLeo that he could not bear to see his father's face whenever he looked in the mirror. DiLeo reportedly told Jackson that he had to stop changing so many things about his appearance as he was already becoming a different face that was once familiar to his fans.

The book will also contain the names of the people not only in the business but also his relatives who have used Jackson and his fortune.
