‘The Originals’ Season 4 episode 1 spoilers, airdate update What happens when the show premieres plus when will the show return

"The Originals" season 4 is expected to become a huge installment for Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis).

In an interview with MTV News, Morgan said that his character and Marcel will have a huge showdown sometime in season 4.

According to Morgan, he's like the new and improved version of Marcel these days because he's become a vengeful character.

"He has that fire back and that anger back he quelled for so long. I'm happy because I love that version of Marcel and those aspects of his character... We're seeing that Marcel. Only now, these wounds are fresh. These are some of my favorite Klaus and Marcel moments of the entire show," he said.

Meanwhile, Morgan also talked about the prophecy that has to do with the Mikaelsons. It was previously revealed that Marcel would kill or take down at least one of them.

According to the actor, the prophecy is still expected to come true especially since viewers of "The Originals" are already anticipating that something as huge as death could happen among one of the Mikaelson brothers.

"The prophecy is going to pay off, thankfully. It'd be a letdown if it didn't, wouldn't it? The Mikaelsons are fighting tooth and nail for the best possible outcome, but this thing has been hanging over them for a whole season. It's interesting to see how it plays out. The finale is definitely a huge finale where all of that is paid off," he explained.

In other news, Morgan also talked about Klaus' relationship with his brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies). In the upcoming episodes, the two brothers need to set their differences aside if they wish to protect the Mikaelson line.

"There's certainly a wedge between them. They're going to have to deal with that whilst dealing with the fact that this prophecy is coming to a head and everything is about to happen. Normally, the show moves 100 miles an hour. It doesn't slow down much. So the end of the season is an exaggeration of that. So they have to deal with all of their personal issues while trying to keep their family alive," he said.

"The Originals" season 4 will premiere on The CW later this year.
