After Marie Claire released on Monday the interview and more photos of “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki, Vogue posted on Tuesday one new photo of the 30-year-old actor and a snippet of his interview with the French fashion magazine.

The black-and-white photo of the Hallyu actor shows the most popular actor in China and South Korea in a somber pose while wearing a checkered suit and black shirt. The topic of his interview with Vogue Korea was Song Joong-ki’s passion for acting.

“I hit 30 while I was in the military. Looking back, my 20s were spend acting, so when I entered my 30s, I became really hungry for it,” Soompi quotes the star of the forthcoming war movie “Battleship Island.”

Being away from the limelight for two years only made him hunger for more acting. The actor added that even after the huge success of the 16-episode “Descendants of the Sun,” he still feels that passionate about acting. “I’m not tired, and I don’t even want to take a break. I’ve rested from acting enough when I was in the military,” he stressed.

That’s why, even cameo roles, like what he did for friend Lee Kwang Soo’s “Sound of Your Heart,” he gave time for it amid preparations for his eight-city China leg of Asian tour for fan meets.

Song Joong-ki’s first movie was “A Frozen Flower” in 2007. Other projects he starred in include “A Werewolf Boy,” “The Innocent Man” and “Penny Pinchers,” according to Viki.

Both issues for Marie Claire and Vogue where Song Joong-ki is featured comes out in June, so it would be a battle of fashion magazines for his South Korean fans next month.
