Song Joong Ki speaks to fans at the Beijing fan meet.

If there is anything that could rival Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo's chemistry in "Descendants of the Sun," it would be Song Joong Ki's real-life friendship with actor-comedian Lee Kwang Soo. The two were recently spotted filming in South Korea, fueling rumors that the "Descendants of the Sun" leading man will return to TV soon.

Photos of Song and Lee filming were taken in front of a convenience store in Seoul. According to Soompi, they were reportedly filming the upcoming television adaptation of the hit webtoon "The Sound of Your Heart."

It was said that Song would only have a cameo appearance in the sitcom, the same way Lee filled a small part in Song's "Descendants of the Sun" drama series. "The Sound of Your Heart" stars Lee and Jung So Min as the leading actors.

Song and Lee have been best friends for years and openly talk about their brotherly-like relationship in public. During a fan meeting in Wuhan, China, Song told his fans that had he not been an actor, he would probably be Lee's manager.

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old showed his loved for acting in an interview with Vogue Korea.

"I hit 30 while I was in the military. Looking back, my 20s were spent acting, so when I entered my 30s, I became really hungry for it," Soompi quoted Song as saying.

"I can't tell you how much I wanted to act then. I still feel that way now," he added. "I'm not tired, and I don't even want to take a break. I've rested from acting enough when I was in the military."

Indeed, Song has been working non-stop to send his love to fans. He is currently on a tour around Asia to visit his fans and interact with them through fan meetings. Although some reported to have seen the actor looking sick and stressed out, Song is still actively pursuing several commitments.

Song is scheduled to appear at the 2016 Baeksang Awards this June 3 at the Hall of Peace Kyung Hee University, as he is nominated for Best Actor for his performance in "Descendants of the Sun."
