"Dancing with the Stars" Season 22 finale is one TV event that fans of ABC was looking forward to. The show ended with impressive finale performances wherein Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd went home with the Mirror Ball Trophy.

The pair got a perfect score of 30 in their Cha Cha and Tango fusion while dancing to "The Sound of Silence." Their performance may look cheerful but it reached the hearts of the viewers and even moved some to tears including DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba who said that it was the best performance she has seen in the 22 seasons of the show.

Judge Bruno Tonioli also loved their performance which made him comment that what they did was "beyond dancing" and that for him, what they did was actually a work of art.

After the announcement of winners, DiMarco and Murgatroyd couldn't contain their joy. Pro dancer Murgatroyd said that her three months of intense practice was an "amazing experience" and that she will always look back to it and would that she would love to do it "again in a heartbeat."

Like Murgatroyd, DiMarco feels the same way calling it "bittersweet" since he had seen his partner everyday for three months and he feels different to not see her face anymore.

Even prior to the announcement of winners, the deaf "America's Next Top Model" and the professional ballroom dancer already feel like they won merely by getting the chance to work together since their rehearsals made them feel amazing every day.

For DiMaro, competing against other dancers who had a hearing advantage was a huge challenge but he just continued practicing every day and managed to move forward week-by-week until he arrived to the finals.

"But I got to tell my story and speak for deaf people everywhere, so I feel like a winner already," said DiMarco, according to People.

Meanwhile, Paige VanZant and partner Mark Ballas managed to get the second place after dancing a Jive / Salsa fusion. Partners Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy performed an Argentine Tango/ Foxtrot fusion which landed them on the third place, TV Line reported.
