Bruce Jenner released his official statement following the Malibu car crash on Feb. 8, Sunday.

"It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible," the former Olympian told Hollywood Life.

The incident started when the Toyota Prius driver suddenly stopped and was hit by a white Lexus from behind. Jenner, who was driving a Cadillac Escalade, bumped the Lexus from the rear-end thereby sending the Lexus to the ongoing traffic. A Hummer struck the Lexus, killing its driver.

Pacific Coast Highway was closed between Corral Canyon and Malibu Canyon roads when the initial investigation took place. The authorities opted not to share details about the condition of the injured victims.

Jenner is popular as the Kardashian's stepfather on the family's reality show aired on E! His relationship with the matriarch Kris Jenner ended up in a divorce in 2014. Jenner's presence in Malibu was not because of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" shooting, the E! confirmed.

Most recently, the Kardashian-Jenner patriarch made entertainment headlines when rumors about him transitioning into a woman came out. Until today, Jenner has not released any statement about the well-celebrated public speculation. The E! reportedly is working on his documentary although details about it has not reached the public yet.

Two adults and five children were injured and were brought to the hospital while Jenner was not injured, according to NBC Los Angeles.
