A new developer called Madmind has announced its first game titled "Agony." It is a first-person survival horror video game available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Madmind is a new player in video game development. According to VG24/7, the development studio was established in Poland earlier this year and is compose of nine veteran developers who have previously worked on big video game titles like "The Witcher 3," "The Division," and "Enemy Front" among others.

Its first game, Agony that is currently in development is set in hell from which the player is tasked to escape. The video game news site adds that the player's character will not have memories so he or she would have to depend on key gaming tactics to progress along the storyline. As the player advances forward, he or she will acquire the capacity to control (Non-player characters) NPCs and possess weak demons depending on the gameplay.

The official website of the upcoming game gives more details about what the player can expect to do in the game. First, it states that the player's character will start off as a tormented soul at the very beginning. He will find himself at the bottom of hell with no memories of his previous life.

Second, it was stated that in order for the player to survive in the game, he or she should be able to strategically control NPCs and weak demons along the way. Next, as the game progresses, the player learns that meeting with the mystical Red Goddess is the only way for him or her to get out of hell. The screenshots and introductory video offer a glimpse of how well detailed the game graphics can be.

The website reveals that Madmind Studio was created by Tomasz Dutkiewicz and adds that the studio is composed of nine game developers who have worked in AAA titles such as "Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2," "Alien Rage," "Real Boxing 2" and "Godfire: Rise of the Prometheus" besides those mentioned earlier. The developers promise to "create best possible, visually stunning game with unique atmosphere."

"Agony" is slated for release sometime in 2017.
