In a scene of "Game of Thrones," Bran Stark finds Meera Reed who still appears to be sad over the death of her brother.

The characters of Isaac Hempstead Wright and Kristian Nairn who play Bran Stark and Hodor have been talked about in "Game of Thrones" season 5 but the latter died, and Meera Reed was left for Stark to depend on. Played by Ellie Kendrick, Reed has been her brother's protector, but when he died, she left seemingly without a purpose. Hence, she clings on to the mission of protecting Stark.

Kendrick has not talked about her return to the HBO smash hit until recently, when her character becomes someone depended on by Stark and becomes a part of an interesting storyline, according to Winter is Coming. Reed is a pragmatic and strong person, and despite being totally destroyed by her brother's death, she is aware she does not need to continue mourning. She is set for a dedicated purpose, giving 1010 percent to protect Stark and ensure he succeeds.

Kendrick is among the few actors who are fans of the books before being cast on the HBO hit series. As a cast member, she is like any fan eager to learn what happens next in a great story with lots of leaps and mysteries. She enjoyed reading the script for "The Door" scene during the final act's script with the White Walkers storming the den of the Three-Eyed Raven.

The actress was shown CGI mock-ups before some scenes to help her have a picture of what is happening on the screen, which she found really helpful, she told Hollywood Reporter in an interview. She said, "A lot of the filming we were doing was running away from men in green micro suits playing wights, to be replaced by graphics later. (The final version) was very cool to see."

As for Benjen Stark (Joseph Mawle), Kendrick finds him helpful to make Bran safe. She finds Coldhands in Benjen, a satisfying way for the show to tackle as it is a nice marriage between TV revelations and the book. She stated, "I was very excited having him on set. I loved working with Joseph Mawle, and I loved having another member of our rapidly dwindling gang."

Reed does not trust Benjen because she is skeptical but logical, and naturally suspicious, always concern for Bran's safety. In the book, she hails from Crannogmen, where people are slightly suspicious loners, wary of anyone's, especially strangers' company.

With Reed's current ordeal, she is not sure who to trust. The actress who plays Reed did not give much clue about what will happen next, except that she and the two Starks have a long journey ahead and more challenges to face.

In the following video, Stark and Reed are saved by Benjen Stark from wights in a scene of "Game of Thrones."
