It was just in April when the hit post-apocalyptic zombie themed series, "The Walking Dead," wrapped up its sixth season. With the recent season's explosive cliffhanger finale, Norman Reedus, who plays the role of Daryl Dixon, teased fans that the upcoming premiere of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 is going to make the whole world explode.

During the actor's interview with Entertainment Weekly to promote his new show on AMC, "Ride with Norman Reedus," he said that when "The Walking Dead" Season 7 starts, the whole planet will be shock on what they will see when it returns.

Aside from that, Reedus did also talk about the criticisms that the executive producers of the show, Scott Gimple and Robert Kirkman, received after airing the finale's cliffhanger. He said that as an actor, he can get away with the bashing of the supporters of the series, but Gimple and Kirman could not. The actor also iterated that Gimple and Kirman worked so hard just to give fans the kind of entertainment that the series has been providing to its audience.

The same publication did also note the statement of the showrunners, where the EPs said that they know they have to provide a satisfying conclusion to "The Walking Dead" Season 6 finale episode's cliffhanger when the series comes back, given that they may have to make the fans wait for about six months before the seventh season starts.

On the other hand, according to Den of Geek, Kirkman also released an open letter to address the cliffhanger issue. The co-creator and showrunner said that they have no intention of gaming the fans, nor make the fans gone mad because of the cliffhanger ending. However, he did admit that they want "The Walking Dead" audience to talk about the finale.

Kirkman also said that he enjoys the fans' speculations and theories relating to who Negan killed. He also says sorry for the fans that got angry, but he emphasized that the upcoming "The Walking Dead" Season 7 will be awesome.

As of the moment, there is no official release date of “The Walking Dead” Season 7, but rumors has it that the show will return in AMC on October this year.
