Colorful shows LGA 1151 B150 motherboard with onboard GTX 1070 Pascal GPU

NVIDIA GTX 1070 is the onboard GPU for a Colorful Skylake motherboard and it offers optimum performance for the gamers.

Colorful has displayed their new B150 motherboard with LGA 1151 socket at the Computex 2016 event with an onboard GTX 1070 Pascal GPU that would automatically make the gaming rig powerful.

There is no confirmation yet as to how the new motherboard would function. The onboard GTX 1070 GPU could be for the new line of laptops that NVIDIA is said to support instead of the GTX 1080m graphics card.

With an LGA 1151 socket, the users would be able to plug in the sixth-generation Skylake processors for more processing power. The bad news is that only two PCI expansion slots are available.

The new B150 motherboard from Colorful could also be used in a laptop considering that it has SODIMM memory slots, Videocardz has learned. It would actually make more sense if it was for a laptop because the GTX 1070 would be the computer's GPU forever with no upgrade option.

In addition, the LGA 1151 socket motherboard also does not have the form factor of ATX. It can still be used in other customized gaming rigs which were also shown at the Computex event.

There is also the possibility that Colorful could also feature another motherboard but with a GTX 1080 GPU instead. With its raw power for VR and 4K, it could be future proof for several years or at least until NVIDIA and AMD manages to leap two generations ahead once again.

The new Colorful B150 motherboard has two DDR3L slots with a maximum capacity of up to 32GB if two 16GB sticks were used in each slot, WCCFTech reported. It also has an HDMI connector, dual M SATA ports and a 2-channel audio jack.

Several users are now speculating as to how the board will function. Others agree that it could be ultimately useless if the GPU itself cannot be replaced or upgraded considering that there are still a lot of GPUs going to be unveiled in the following months.

Colorful could clear up the confusion in their own event explaining the B150 motherboard with the GTX 1070 and the LGA 1151 socket. It could be both a laptop chipset or a customized desktop motherboard.
