Shortly before the late Whitney Houston's third death anniversary on Feb. 11, Wednesday, the Browns confirmed that Bobbi Kristina Brown is recovering.

This is contrary to the previous reports that both the Houstons and the Browns agreed to pull the plug on the 21-year-old, who is currently on life support in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

On Feb. 9, Monday, family, relatives, friends and supporters gathered at Atlanta's Riverdale Town Center amphitheatre in Riverdale, Ga., for the vigil called "Shining A Light For Healing For Bobbi Kristina Brown."

In an exclusive interview with David Begnaud of Entertainment Tonight, Bobby Brown's sister Tina and nephew Shayne expressed their optimism about Bobbi Kristina's condition.

Having been at the hospital since Bobbi Kristina was brought there, the two said Bobbi Kristina's father is holding up well after staying by his daughter's side at the hospital for more than a week.

Shayne told Begnaud, "Uncle's in good spirits. It's just family issues right now. Uncle just wants his privacy. The family wants its privacy."

About Bobbi Kristina, Shayne said, "She's progressing. She's getting better. We just ask for people to continue to pray."

In addition, Shayne confirmed that "the family is in good spirits."

Tina also said, "I've been home for a couple of days to let everything just die down. Bobby wanted to spend time with her by himself."

Brown has also released a statement to ABC News saying, "God is hearing our prayers. We continue to request privacy in this matter. We thank everyone that supported the vigil for Bobbi Kristina."
