The latest details for "Injustice 2" will feature a possible game development this year along with "Mortal Kombat 11" and release date for the PlayStation 4 next year.
NetherRealm Studios is rumored to be making a sequel to the DC comics fighting video game title "Injustice: Gods Among Us" this year as French video game website Gameblog claimed that the game developers are showcasing "Injustice 2" this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo on June 14-16 and even a release date on May next year.
While the validity of the "Injustice" sequel is still in question, a fan asked "Mortal Kombat" game series creator Ed Boon as he tweeted Boon's profile pic asking if "Injustice 2" will indeed happen soon. Boon replied to the fan by stating that if this is "Injustice 2" or "Mortal Kombat 11".
Several gaming fans are still skeptical about Boon's posted image as they are asking if this is the roman catholic of the number 2 or just the numerical number of eleven as Boon followed it up with another tweet teasing fans that it is a "damn" good question, further adding their curiousity on the validity to the "Injustice 2" development or simply another "Mortal Kombat" sequel next year.
Boon has been known to fool around the internet and giving cryptic clues for new game updates as the gaming fans keep on guessing what they are.
It is rumored that "Injustice 2" will be developed using the same game engine used in "Mortal Kombat X" as NetherRealm Studios looks to expand more gameplay options for the sequel. Since E3 2016 draws near, video game fans curious to know if "Injustice 2" will indeed be in the works this year for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, and for the PC as well.
Several fans wanted to see more DC heroes and villains in the sequel joining the likes of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor and the Joker such as Supergirl, Static, Amazo, Poison Ivy, The Shade, Captain Cold, the Red Lantern member Bleez, Red Hood, Booster Gold and Darkseid, Den of Geek reported.
"Injustcie Gods: Among Us" was first released in the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U in 2013, and was eventually ported to the PS4, PC, PS Vita in a Ultimate Edition. It also became a free-to-play mobile app in the Android and iOS software.
The game follows an alternate dimension in the DC Universe were in Superman became the ruler of the world and established the One Earth government along with the Justice League and several selected supervillains. Batman is constantly stopping Superman's regime, but is sorely outnumbered dueto haft of the League members following him, either out of fear or are now blinded by his cause. Batmab recruits heroes from Prime Earth such Aquaman, Green Arrow, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman along with the Joker and Batman to stop Superman's regime and help save the world.
"Injustice 2"is speculated to launch on May 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
