"iZombie" season 3 lead star Rose McIver recently opened up about her character Liv and Major's relationship.
In an interview with TV Line at The CW's Upfront last week, McIver said that she thinks Liv will never end up with a man because it is very obvious how what could happen to this man.
"No one wants to get cast as Liv's love interest. They know where they're going," she said.
Of course, Liv is a zombie and anyone she sleeps with would also turn into one.
When asked if there's hope for Liv and Major (Robert Buckley) to ever make things official again, McIver said that only time will tell. Logically speaking though, Liv and Major need not worry about anything because both of them are zombies.
"I love that they're friends first. They've been able to stand by each other through thick and thin," she said.
Buckley added that Liv is currently mourning the death of two of the most closest men in her life so if Liv and Major would ever decide to become a couple again, they need to wait for the right time.
"It's a really complicated thing - she's grieving two dead boyfriends. It's not that easy to jump straight back in with Major. I think they're really great for each other, and they love each other," he said.
Meanwhile, McIver also urged fans to not be saddened over Liv and Major's decision to stay friends for now because she believes that there are sadder storylines in "iZombie" that they can focus on.
"I was devastated by Drake passing away, but I was equally devastated by Clive Babineaux and his longtime love Dale Bozzio's breakup. I just want Babineaux to be happy - bloody Liv, ruining everything by being a zombie," she said.
"iZombie" season 3 also stars David Anders as Blaine, Malcolm Goodwin as Babineaux, Rahul Kohli as Ravi, Aly Michalka as Peyton, Nick Purcha as Evan and Molly Hagan as Eva.
As of late, it is still unclear how many episodes "iZombie" season 3 will have.
"iZombie" season 3 will premiere on The CW sometime next year.
