Amber Heard recently filed a domestic abuse lawsuit against ex-husband Johnny Depp. She claimed to be a victim but recent news revealed that in 2009, Heard was involved in a similar case but back then, she was tagged as the attacker by former girlfriend Tasya van Ree.

According to USA Today, officials at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Washington verified that Heard was arrested on Sept. 14, 2009, for hitting artist/photographer van Ree. The attack took place at the airport and the actress was picked up by the Port of Seattle Police.

Perry Cooper, Sea-Tac Airport spokesman, further narrated that Heard and van Ree got into a heated argument when the "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane" star suddenly took a hold of her girlfriend's arm and struck it hard. Upset over what happened, van Ree reported the incident to the authorities who responded swiftly.

Heard was immediately taken into custody and booked for misdemeanor assault in the fourth degree or domestic violence. A mug shot was also taken and she was ordered to appear before King County District Court in Seattle the following day.

At the court hearing, the actress learned that no charges will be pressed against her for the reason that she and her girlfriend are both living in California at that time. The judge dropped the case but warned Heard that she is not yet completely off the hook as prosecutors may still decide to reconsider her case within the 2-year statute of limitations, TMZ reported.

Heard broke up with van Ree in 2012 and started to date the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor after meeting him on the set of "The Rum Diary." The couple got married on February 2015 but their sweet union turned into an ugly scandal after Heard filed for divorce on May 23.

Charles J. Harder, Heard's lawyer, said that his client is requesting for the maximum jury award. He added that the actress is planning to donate everything that she will get from the lawsuit to the center for battered women in Arizona.
