“Attack on Titan” Season 2 trailer video was recently leaked online, which made fans feel even more excited especially that its release is pushed back next year.
The video shows Hange and Jagger which is an indication that the production of the next season is currently underway. Aside from Hange, protagonist Eren Jagger is also seen at the end of the video.
Hange and her troop discovered a face of a Titan from the wall and Pasto Nick asked one solider to kill the titan. Hange then asks the Pastor why there is a Titan in the wall but he only answered that he is a busy man and that he has to take care of his church followers.
But Hange feels that the Pastor is being untruthful and he wants an explanation. Hange then confronts the Pastor and even attempted to throw him down from the building. Pastor was firm and will never talk. Hence, Hange gave up and since she cannot kill a pastor.
Other characters who are expected to appear on “Attack on Titan” Season 2 are Captain Kenny Ackerman, Beast Titan, Frieda Reiss, Rod Reiss and Uri Reiss. It is also speculated that season 2 will be about the king's corruption and downfall which means that viewers will be able to meet the Reiss Noble family. It will also focus on the battle between the Titans in the wall and the 104th Trainees Squad.
In the manga series, Uri Reiss is the younger brother of Rod and the king of mankind. In the later part of the show, he will be giving his position to his daughter, Frieda Reiss.
The Titan on the wall is a Beast Titan which has a distinct ape-like and furry appearance but he walks upright with a human body structure. He is massive and is even bigger than the Colossal Titan from Season 1. The Beast Titan is also an intelligent leader and can howl to call other Titans to attack, iDigital Times wrote.
Because of the leaked video, which already garnered over 2 million views, many are wondering if season 2 will be preponed. Reports reveal that the season 2 will still be delayed due to lack of story arc. Attack on Titan manga is only ahead with two story arcs of the Attack on Titan season 1, which means that they have to wait for enough content before proceeding to the production of upcoming season.
Aside from that, it is also reported that the anime's director, Tetsuro Araki has a hectic schedule since he is working on another anime series titled "Kanaberi of the Iron Fortress" but the season is already under production as according to Bessatsu Shonen Magazine.
As a consolation to the fans of the anime, the game version of “Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom” was already released for PlayStation 4 bundled with several perks including a selection of avatars that the gamers can use on a certain platform. It also includes cleaning costumes for Eren and Levi and a festival costume for Mikasa.
